Aims and Scope

Labyrinth: Fayoum Journal of Science and Interdisciplinary Studies is a highly esteemed academic journal published twice a year by Fayoum University. It serves as a platform for scholars to distribute their original, peer-reviewed research papers and reviews in diverse academic fields. The journal is published in both print and online formats, guaranteeing global open access to its content.
The main goal of Labyrinth is to disseminate top-notch research papers that make significant contributions to the progress of knowledge across several disciplines. It welcomes submissions from a wide range of disciplines, including Agricultural Sciences (such as Soils and Water Sciences, Agricultural Economics, Food & Dairy Sciences, Animal & Poultry Production, Agronomy, Agricultural Botany & Biotechnology, Plant Protection & Plant Pathology, and Horticulture), Applied Science and Technology (including Agricultural Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, and Geography), Biomedical Sciences (encompassing Microbiology and Molecular Biology, Physiology, Genetics and Epidemiology, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, and Immunology), Basic Sciences (covering Experimental and Theoretical Solid State Physics, Experimental and Theoretical Nuclear Physics, Materials Sciences, Organic and Inorganic Chemistry, Geology, Zoology, Botany, Nanosciences, Biochemistry & Genetics), Computer Sciences and Information Systems (including Data Science and Artificial Intelligence), Medical Sciences (comprising Basic Medical Science and Clinical Science), Engineering Sciences (including Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Mechanics, and Mechatronics), Heritage Science and Conservation, and interdisciplinary studies.
Labyrinth offers scholars a vital platform to publish their original contributions, ensuring that their work receives the respect and distribution it deserves. The journal highly esteems research that enhances current knowledge and adds to academic interpretation. Labyrinth promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and the exchange of ideas by publishing articles from several scientific disciplines.

Types of paper:

1. Original full papers (regular papers)

2. Review articles (should cover a part of the subject of active current interest)

3. Short Communications

3.1 Report of preliminary results of important research (pilot investigation: e.g. no duplications or with other restrictions)

3.2 Newly developed methodology or modification of existing methodology, possibly description of first test.

3.3 Results of the application of an earlier published research methodology on other crops or under different conditions (fact-finding or recipes) that are nevertheless of interest to an international readership. Should include new scientific insight.

4. Book Reviews (included in the journal on a range of relevant books which are not more than 2 years old).

Original papers should report the results of original research and should be of international interest. The material should not have been previously published elsewhere, except in a preliminary form. Reviews should cover a part of the subject active current interest. They may be submitted or invited.

Short Communications should be as completely documented, both by reference to the literature and description of the experimental procedures employed, as a regular paper. They should not occupy more than 4 printed pages (about 8 manuscript pages, including tables, figures, etc.).
